At Sofas by Saxon, we believe in using only the highest-quality materials for your handmade sofas and chairs, which is why these beautiful fabrics have been sourced with painstaking care and attention to detail.

We offer plaid and herringbone wool, chenille weave, whitewell linen, and luxury velvet, all in a huge choice of beautiful colours and patterns from the best British producers. You can also choose smart fabrics, which are made using a specialist blend of manmade and natural fibres to make them exceptionally hard-wearing, including clever wool, linen and velvet.

We’ve spent over 35 years building trusted relationships with all sorts of exceptional fabric producers. They range from proud Yorkshire wool weavers like Abraham Moon, who’ve been producing traditional British wool fabrics since 1837, through to innovative modern cloth designers like Harlequin and The Designers Guild.

We’re also proud to offer a range of authentic Harris Tweeds, which are manufactured in the Outer Hebrides to the exacting standards required for them to carry the official ‘Harris Tweed’ label.

As all of the furniture that we produce is completely made to order, the way that these fabrics are used in your furniture is entirely up to you. The possibilities are almost endless — you might choose to upholster your entire Chesterfield sofa in one fabric or elect to use two different materials for a more eclectic look. You can even have your furniture made with both fabric and one of our leathers to enjoy the best of both worlds.
